i believe in mondays. (and tickets to the gun show.)

(Yeah, Best Buns. And Best Gun Show.)

Hello, dear friends! It's Monday once again and I can't believe an entire week has spun by. I have so very much on my To Do List this week and am hoping a past week of friendly visits have super charged my creative batteries...leaving my heart full of warmth and my belly full of laughs...inspired enough to get it all done!

This week, I believe...

...in crafting over-the-top care packages for my guy. And in getting to the MN State Fair this year if it kills me. These two beliefs have joined forces. More on this to come.

...in bumming because my Italian Renaissance Art class was cancelled. I may have gotten teary...

...in looking at D$%& You Autocorrect as many times a day as needed to feel jolly.

...in Gnome Birthday Parties. Check out my girl Shannon's. I'm jealous I wasn't present.

...in anticipating the nourishing brain activity which school shall bring, yet dreading the commitments and structure.

...in week-long visits from old friends, and how very "right" it can make you feel once again. Especially when they involve a giggle-inducing candlelight poetry reading for a group of old co-workers. Still chuckling...

...in falling temps! This morning I spent a little time on my balcony without breaking into a manic sweat. Hurrah!

How's your Monday...and what's on your To Do List? Is it lovely where you are?

  1. I have to ask, did you make those little badges? They gave me a wonderful idea for my friend's wedding shower! I've had the hardest time coming up with games. Any chance you would be willing to share how they were made?

  2. Alyssa, I did make the badges! I tried finding an online tutorial for these, but couldn't figure out what they were called...so no luck.

I just fidgeted with them until they worked...so, yes! I will definitely share a tutorial with photos this week. They're such a versatile little craft. Don't stress...a tutorial is coming your way! :)

  3. You're not seriously going to the gun show, are you?!?

I feel the same as you about getting back to school. Excited, but full of dread too. How on earth am I meant to get dressed and out the door {with two dressed, fed, backpacked-up boys in tow} by 7:30 in the morning? Gaah. Lately I've been hanging out in my nightie until 10ish...

Happy Monday, B! I hope the mail I sent you arrives soon. But would you believe that the woman in the post office actually had the nerve to stick the postal label right on top of my gorgeous address stamp? Seriously. I was NOT impressed.

    PS:
Alyssa- Bethany is awesome at badges. She sent me one on a present, and I now have it on display on the desk in my home office, sort of like a nameplate. It's that pretty!

  4. Oh my gosh.
I just snagged the CUTEST gnome at a flea market this weekend...and presently dropped him while moving him from the car.

I may have yelled "Oh no!! I mean OH GNOME!"

  6. I am totally with you on the cooling temperatures - they simply cannot come quick enough round here. I don't think my poor 31 week pregnant ankles can take many more hot days :(

This week my to-do list includes my continuing cleaning/nesting tasks - I am determined to be done soon and have an organised house for this little one.

Good luck with your list this week, here's hoping it's all ticked off by Friday xx

and omg - your line about school hits it right on the head. i feel like i've lost a few brain cells without homework and classes, and am ready to get back to it - but also dreading the effort!

  8. Can't wait to see what you are up to, I have a feeling it is going to be adorable.

I believe snow cones are the perfect way to cool off and that they contain zero calories on a hot day.

I believe in music so powerful it makes me cry (thanks Adele)

  9. I can't wait to see your crafty care package as it unfolds. :) And hear your adventures from the MN state fair. This week is already a little insane for me. Back to school finances have me sweating a ton and trying to pre-plan even more (a dangerous pastime, I know). I'm definitely needing a little extra-dose of creative spirit this week!

  11. I am so excited for this state fair thing! I've never been to a state fair but the idea always sounded really fun and kitschy (sp?)I'm thinking we need to send more mail to each other. I need more B creativity in my life. And I need to practice making cute mail.

And thank you my dear, for sending your readers over to see the gnome madness. I love having them.

  12. The weather is pretty nice in my neck of the woods- warm during the day and then it cools off at night so sleeping with the window open def requires some kind of blanket! I'm enjoying what's left of summer!

  13. I'm not sure if I should thank you or curse you for the D--- You Auto Correct link! Thank you because it's seriously amusing but curse you because I just slipped into a serious time suck reading it!

Oh, and by the way...your badges are adorable! Can't wait for the tutorial. They've sparked a couple ideas!

  14. Oh my goodness, Bethany, I am DYING over here! After a long, stressful, emotional day... I figured I should check out this autocorrect link you posted for a little pick-me-up. Well yeah. It worked. I have been sitting here peeing my pants with laughter for the past 15 minutes. SO, SO FUNNY!
