we might need a miracle.

It's getting to that point. You know, that point in December where you're not exactly sure how everything is going to get completed. Papers, finals, Christmas parties, nooks and crannies to clean, presents to mail, items to order, gifts to wrap...a fiance returning home from overseas.

The list goes on and on.

I'm trying to stay focused, but it's hard when there's snow outside, glittery crafts I'd like to make and a paper I'd looove to shirk. It's gonna take a mircale, I think. And maybe little pixie dust to get everything done around here in time for the holidays.

Are you feeling the crunch?

  1. Bethany, I'm with you girl! It seems like my to-do list gets longer every day, even when I'm crossing stuff off of it.

Good luck getting it all done... just take a deep breath and just worry about it one item at a time!

  2. YES. I'm feeling it. I have to grade a 113 page paper by 4pm this afternoon and it's noon right now and I'm just starting. Ah! I just want school to be over and to wrap Christmas presents and watch Christmas movies. :)

  3. I know you'll be able to get through your paper, your gifts and getting ready for Gabe to come back :) Just take one step at a time and it will help for sure :)

these two weeks before christmas are high time for crunch time, I gotta get some packages sent to and some cards to make, but no worries girly, we'll get it all done just in time! Take care!

  4. Definitely feeling the crunch!! I just have to remind myself to stop and regroup every so often, and that soon everything will settle down again. Until then......let the chaos ensue!

  5. SUPER crunched over here. I have a week left of work. That sounds good, right? But during that week there's our class craft day, the school Christmas concert {have to be here in the evening}, the preschool evening singalong and Supper with Santa {two different nights}... Then, I have a million cards left to write and send, one last parcel to get in the post, all my gifts to wrap, some baking to do, a Christmas tree to get into the house, up and decorated, and an Open House Christmas party for goodness knows how many people to prepare for! Gaaah! I need at least 3 more weeks to do all that. 11 days isn't gonna cut it!

    {okay, slow deep breaths... must calm down...}

  10. I hadn't felt any crunch until yesterday and today. I think a lot of emotions, activities, and a pinch of stress all added up and knocked me down a bit.

But, I'm releasing stress and working towards getting back to the focus of what is on hand for today and the enjoyment of pleasant moments in the "now".

I hope that you get things done, enjoy the season, and take time to stop and "Smell the roses" or in your case pause and watch the snow sparkle. =)

  11. I am totally feeling the crunch. With the baby being born in October, the onset of visitors, Thanksgiving and now Christmas, I am so ready for January and some peace and quiet.

I still have cards to fill out and my mom's gift to order on-line.

..and what am I doing instead? Sitting here reading your blog. Procrastination much? ;)

  13. I definitely am feeling the crunch--the last two weeks before winter break at the school where I teach, I'm feeling so sick, and the holidays are fast approaching! Trying to take baby steps to get there; I know you'll make it with baby steps too! xo

  16. I'm home for the entire month on maternity leave, so I was SURE that this would be the year that everything was completely under control. Even with a newborn who spent his whole first month peacefully sleeping, I'm still somehow trying to figure out what I can ditch without leaving any of my favorite traditions out.

I can't wait to hear about your holiday, and your sweetheart being home! Don't stress too much- when he's here, you'll forget about everything else!

  17. Other than the fiance part - you just described my life!

You'll pull it all together, as will I.

Take a deep breath - one thing at a time!
